Indus Valley in the News
This link will take you to an article with excellent info and good photos of a very large Harappan city that is news to me. Remember this is the very early civilization with extensive indoor plumbing. Here is a photo of one of the drains!

  1. That is a great article. It is amazing that the people in these ancient civilizations were so innovative by created these drains to prevent flooding. I wonder in three thousand years what archeologists will be finding from our civilization. Probably not much since everything has such a short lifespan.

  2. I think our potsherds will be all the plastic. What will they make of all this junk?

  3. That drain is AMAZING!

I love looking at pictures like this, and reading information about civilizations that have since diminished, but their remains are still around. I visited Pompeii when I was in Europe last summer, and I was FASCINATED by the ruins. My friends, our Rick Steve's book and myself tore through that ancient city. We spent hours there. I'll have to post some pictures from the trip!
